ConnectRelate

After a winter nap.

It’s been about a month since we have updated anything on the site. Not really anything specific, but just life, specifically Holidays! Between the year-end workload  and holidays, my days and weekends have been filled. We continue to use the site internally, and a couple of people have requested to  participate in the alpha testing…   Continue Reading…

The Brain is a Pattern Matching Machine

I was listening to the Personal MBA book by Josh Kaufman  [ Side note:  Very good book !! ] and I was very pleasantly surprise to hear the one of his chapters regarding associations… The brain is a pattern matching machine, it’s constantly trying to figure out what’s associated with what. Your brain is taking Continue Reading…

Graphic Display of Node Relationships…

The Basics: Is is possible to get this  organized? Now this is COOL (and more like it) : http://www.keyhubs.com/case-studies/increase-success-for-a-newly-hired-executive-case-study-1/ Keyhubs — Very interesting company!   What we do:     Most firms rely on an “ORG” chart to visually describe how their company is structured or functions. Today’s thought: To publicly (or not) display the list of issues and roadmap

Today’s discussion: We have a pretty system to track, categorize and prioritize the known open (and future) issues.    Not sure if we should or not publicly display those yet, but at the moment we are tending towards holding off right now.   Arguments: Pro Arguments:  Transparency  Document the process (including bugs/issues)  Con Arguments:  This Continue Reading…

Newsletter Signup & Mailchip

Tonight we incorporated a newsletter signup to the site. We considered doing our own newsletter mailing signup code, but we have heard so much about MailChimp and how great it is, that we decided to give it a try. They have a free version that supports up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month, Continue Reading…

Site has been updated and is now alive!

Wow – It feels strangely  weird… The main  marketing site  and demo-app  (v 0.6-alpha)   are now available to the world (and for the world to comment on them) — talk about an emperor with little clothes! 🙂 We still have several key (and some not-so-key)  priority items to solve  before we can call it Continue Reading…

Product Introduction Video

With the focus on getting to the live site,we needed an intro video for the service…  Now that we have the logo work done,  we got inspired to do the demo video, and posted to our YouTube account… [Side note: We stuck to the team principals of using tools in the development environment (Ubuntu) and Continue Reading…

Logo created.. Focus on simplicity…

Spent a bit of time on the logo today… I think we settled, with focus on simplicity… I can only summarize this experience as follows: It is amazing how much time can someone spent on doing simple things…
